What is Khanmigo Tools?
Khanmigo Tools is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool that is part of the Khan Academy Links to an external site. website. Khan Academy was started by Sal Khan as a nonprofit with the mission of providing a free education. The Khanmigo Tools integration has been enabled in our Canvas instance. It is a hidden menu item that must be enabled in the course menu. Please note this integration is only available to people in the teacher role in Canvas courses. Students will never see the link in the course menu. Review the information below on how to get started.
Enable Khanmigo Tools in the Course Menu
You will need to enable Khanmigo Tools in the course menu. Review the following guide for steps to enable.
Once enabled in the course menu, (1) click Khanmigo Tools. (2) The first time you access Khanmigo Tools, you will need to create an account. The new account will be based off the default email on your Canvas account (typically your Lake Land College email address). (3) If you have previously created an account with Khan Academy, you can login to your account.
If you are creating a new account, a dialog box will appear. (1) An email will be sent so you can create a password. (2) Read terms and conditions and then check the box next to terms of service. (3) Click Enter Khanmigo Tools.

If you have not created an account, please review the account setup tab first. (1) Click Khanmigo Tools in the course menu.
(2) All of the tools will display by default. You can filter by types of tools. (3) You can mark a tool as a favorite. This will allow you to see your favorites from the favorites filter. (4) You can also use the search feature to quickly locate a tool. (5) Once you create prompts, the documents created will display in My Documents. Documents can be exported to PDF, Word, or shared to a Google Drive account.
When you select a tool, enter information for your prompt. In this example with the Multiple Choice Quiz, (1) input the grade level, (2) the number of questions desired, and (3) topic. (4) Click the button to run the prompt. (5) Once the text is generated, you can export the text as PDF or Word document.
