Course Description—Focuses on games and activities for elementary and secondary level including body mechanics, basic exercises and rhythms. 

Course Outcome- Each student will gain knowledge in the field of Physical Education and Wellness to apply towards the education of children.

Class Objective- The student will have practical experiences in teaching situations with children in the field of Physical Education that allow for progression in their own teaching skills.

No prerequisites

Assessment- Through the use of embedded test questions- 85% of class score higher than 80% on correct answers of those questions.

The Class will be Presented in this manner

  • All class lecture materials will be presented in class
  • You will have teaching days, in which you will teach a lesson to your fellow classmates. Those dates will be announced. 
  • Canvas will be used for grades and announcements.

 

 

 

 ATTENDANCE

  • After 3 absences- you could be dropped from the class depending on if the absence is excused or not.
  • Late work will have a 5% point reduction
  • A missed test must be made up the within one week of test day.

100-90—A

89-80- B

79-70-C

69-60- D

59- below- F

Types of Evaluation

Tests-Two that are worth 100 points each-Final Exam Tuesday, Dec 13 8:00am

Quizzes-vary from 20-25 points
